Measurement of Different Transports with DDDAC1543

Jitter of the different transports and connections was measured through the DDDAC1543 without re-clocking. The one with re-clocking seemed to be immune against jittery transports.

 

Teac VRDS 25 X, optical connection. Jitter is 830 ps.

Teac VRDS 25 X, coaxial connection. Jitter is 1830 ps.

Philips DVD 963 SA, optical connection. Jitter is 2050 ps.

Philips DVD 963 SA, coaxial connection. Jitter is 1560 ps.

Technics SL PS 7, optical connection. Jitter is 770 ps. Masterclock for the transport is a Kwak Clock 7.
